Dogs May Help Protect Children Against Asthma and Eczema, Studies Shows

We all love Dogs, well alot of us do lol. But sometimes when our children that have allergies to pets, we have a hard time letting them play with pets. From some one with children with allergies I understand. Sometimes when we visit a friends house and when we come home our kids allergies are shot and asthma symptoms are beginning to kick in and they can't breathe.

Well according to Po-Yang Tsou, MD,MPH pets can assist with affects of allergens with pets.
The team believes that elements carried by dogs (not dog allergens) could be the influential factor that ultimately provides protection against asthma.
“However, dog allergen exposure remains a major concern for kids who are allergic to dogs,” Tsou said.
The ACAAI advises people who are allergic to dogs to decrease exposure and work with their allergist to avoid an increase of symptoms.
ACAAI provides a few tips for dog owners with family members who have a dog allergy:
  • Restrict the dog to only a few rooms and avoid having it in bedrooms. Remember, allergens will spread throughout the household, not only in rooms the dog can access.
  • After petting a dog, wash hands with soap and water.
  • Allergen levels in a room might be reduced over time with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) cleaners running 24/7. Allergen levels can also be reduced by frequent vacuum cleaning with a high-efficiency appliance or a central vacuum.
  • Airborne allergens can also be reduced by giving frequent baths to the dog, at least once a week.
With this information we can reduce the amount of reactions to pet allergies with this information.

SunButter And Jelly An Alternative to PB&J

Lot's of people love eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but for some these can be deadly. This famous sandwich has children usually going crazy when they are offered up, on the other hand others can get bummed out quite quickly and it gets old after a while you know.

So I did my research for you who don't have time to do so.

What I found was this product called SunButter. This Yummy sandwich spread has been a blessing and is now a favorite among children with peanut allergies. You would be surprised on how delicious this is and how remarkably similar the taste is to regular peanut butter.

This is a picture of if if you see it in stores.

Peanut allergy risk SLASHED if parents do THIS simple trick during infancy wish I would have done this...

So The Nut Allergy is Global and in the UK they have found a simple trick regarding Peanut allergies.

Image result for mother and child picasso

They are having women eat peanuts before they breast feed. The peanuts are breaking down in the body and is being introduced at infancy. This apparently is slashing the risk of the peanut allergy.

These tests are being conducted by Canadian researchers.
“We found that the introduction of peanuts before 12 months of age was associated with a reduced risk of peanut sensitisation by school age, particularly among children whose mothers consumed peanuts while breastfeeding,” said Dr Tracey Pitt, lead study author from the Humber River Hospital in Ontario.

If you would like more info about this matter here's a link for you.

Kids Could Out Grow Their Food Allergies..... Really?

Image result for picture of childs

Hello all I was just online today just wanted to share some info I found online. Its shows that kids could out grow there food allergies when they get older. Allergists now have found a new technique to test children's food allergies.

Image result for oral test food allergies
They now are using the oral test where you bring in a food that your child is triggered to and in front of the Allergist they consume it. This is scary sometimes but the Allergist is there with you ready to use the epipen if needed. From a personal point of view I kind of like this since it is the alternative to the skin prick test.

It's kind of a nightmare when they use the skin prick test, they start sticking your kid with tons of needles and all you can do is hold them down and comfort them until its over. Then they get hives all over there back and can't scratch them, it's really unbelievable.

But things are changing now since 1 in 13 kids have food allergies now a days has food allergies.
